Lakes Home Guardian, of Spirit
Lake, Iowa, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.
Owner Kelly
Greenfield and his wife, Amber, moved to the Lakes region three years ago, but
they’ve been visiting the area their entire lives. Over the past few years,
Kelly has been performing informal Home Watch services for family and friends.
After their own year-round home was burglarized in the fall of 2013, Kelly felt
the great need for a Home Watch service to help be the eyes and ears when residents
leave town for a family trip or close up their vacation homes at the end of the
summer season. Upon careful research and getting feedback from homeowners in
the area, Kelly decided to make it official and launched Lakes Home Guardian.
Kelly graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies. He has been working as a Design Engineer in the area for the past seven years.

Guardian serves the entire Iowa Great Lakes region, which consists of Spirit
Lake, Okoboji, Milford, Arnolds Park, West Okoboji, Wehpeton, and Orleans. You
