Carlson Concierge of Scottsdale, AZ, joins the NHWA!

Carlson Concierge, LLC, of Scottsdale, Arizona, has gained Accredited Member status in the National Home Watch Association.

Owners Maureen and Lee Carlson started Carlson Concierge after a friend/first client visited them in Seattle and saw first-hand what Lee could do as far as finishing work and handyman services, as well as Maureen’s talents for planning, organizing and marketing (she had chaired a large non-profit auction). The friend thought the market for concierge companies in Scottsdale was ripe because there was a need for trustworthy, ethical companies that had both the handyman side and the organizational/ communications side. Coincidentally, Maureen and Lee were ready to go after their life-long dream of owning a business together. So, after vacationing in Scottsdale for many years, Maureen and Lee moved there in 2009, investigated concierge/home watching businesses, and Carlson Concierge was born.

Maureen received her Marketing and Management degree from Creighton University. She was a Regional Sales Manager for a fundraising company for many years, until they started their family.

Lee graduated from the University of Washington and was an Operations Manager for a Sports Marketing Company for many years.  

Carlson Concierge is divided into five different divisions, including: home watch, VRBO concierge, destination club home management and concierge, handyman, and personal investment property management.  

They work with many US and Canadian homeowners, and are the main concierge for destination clubs and VRBO rental homes in Scottsdale. Their customers find us to be exceptionally trustworthy, thorough and conscientious. Their motto is, “Leave your home to our care when you can’t be there!”

Lee and Maureen Carlson

Lee and Maureen both grew up in Minnesota and then lived in the Pacific Northwest for twenty years before moving to Scottsdale four years ago. They say they will always have a home there, as they love the weather and the quality of life!  Because they have traveled and lived in so many places, they have many friends and contacts that have built their business. 

Between three kids that are all in club sports, private school, and running their 24/7 business, Maureen and Lee stay very busy.  They enjoy hiking and traveling as a family.  This summer, they spent two weeks in the Mediterranean!

Moore Security and Services of Cape Cod, MA, Joins the NHWA!

Moore Security and Services of Orleans, MA, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA. Ed Moore founded a small Home Watch company in June of 2005, with an emphasis on small jobs and window washing. The company has grown since then, expanding to home generator sales and installation, construction services, small job services, and Home Watch, with a total base of over 200 customers. After eight years in business, they are continuing to grown on Cape Cod, making the care of their customers their primary focus.

Home Check One of Arizona gains accreditation in the NHWA!

Home Check One of Peoria, AZ, has joined the NHWA. This has only taken 3 years to happen. When we launched the NHWA back in 2010, one of the first people that reached out to me was Debra Gauthier. We talked for quite a while, and while she supported the idea of a national organization, she really didn't know if the NHWA would survive. Well, here we are ... and here they are! 

Debra and Jerry Gauthier have lived in Arizona since 1982 and opened Home Check One in 2008. Originally from Michigan, they are dedicated to ethical and professional service.

Debra worked in healthcare and retirement apartment management for over 30 years. During this time, she has been involved in the community as Past President of Soroptimist International Valley of the Sun and Peoria Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the year with the NW Valley Chamber, and she co-founded Human Services Professionals (HSP).

Jerry worked in the communication field for over 40 years. He is reliable and handy with minor repairs. Currently, he is President of the Industrial Development Authority for the City of Peoria.
