Southworth Home Management, LLC of Mashpee, Massachusetts, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Founder Clayton Southworth spent a great portion of his childhood in Cape Cod, leaving for University and ending up in a few senior management roles: branch manager for a national promotion company out of New York City; a restaurant manager in Australia; and a hotel manager at a top-rated resort in Bermuda. With a track record of successfully managing small to mid-size companies and a couple of years of real estate sales experience, it seemed a natural progression to marry real estate knowledge and management experience; in 2013, Clay formed Southworth Home Management. SHM provides property management and Home Watch services to private homes, investment properties, vacation rentals, and commercial properties throughout Cape Cod and the Islands.

A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Clay is excited to be close to family again and back in his wonderful neck of the woods after having been away for so long.

New Mexico is in the House!

Lotus Home Management LLC, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Ber and Lauren Evans founded Lotus Home Management in 2011 and have had a presence in the industry since 2007. Ber’s educational and professional background is in business management. Lauren’s 17-year marketing career in the high-end Santa Fe residential market includes seven years of working in the security industry. It was during that time that she saw the strong demand for a professional, high-caliber home management service for absentee second homeowners. Lotus has thus successfully earned the reputation of providing an exemplary level of service for discriminating clientele in the greater Santa Fe area.

Ber and Lauren met in college at the University of Kansas in 1981, and it was love at first sight. During a Spring Break trip to Florida, they realized their grandparents had known each other in Pennsylvania (where Ber and Lauren were both born), and they knew fate had played its hand. Married in 1987, they moved from Los Angeles to Santa Fe a year later. Twenty-six years later, with two children who are now outstanding young adults, they are still going strong. Three generations of family now live in Santa Fe, which continues to provide a strong sense of connection and joy. Hobbies include golf, cooking, gardening, home improvement projects and hanging out with the beloved family dog.

Safeguard Homewatch of Glendale, Arizona, has joined the National Home Watch Association!

Safeguard Homewatch was launched in August 2012 by owner and Phoenix native, Steve Rochford.

Throughout his career, Steve has been responsible for the safety and security of people and property in situations that demand trustworthiness and competence.

Steve’s public service record includes time spent as a Federal Reserve police officer, firefighter, police officer, ad FEMA search and rescue professional. Active in his community, Steve worked as a Police Officer and as a canine handler with the Phoenix Fire Department, including deployment to the World Trade Center, Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl.  Steve has conducted numerous presentations at schools, nursing homes and businesses on safety as it relates to disasters, self-protection and how emergency responders use their tools as well as the K-9 to perform a rescue.

In September 2001, Kona, a Belgian Malinois, and Steve were deployed to New York City as a canine search specialist team with FEMA Arizona Task Force One. They spent nine days searching Ground Zero for survivors. 

Steve brings the same commitment to providing dependable Home Watch services to his community as he has over the last 30 years in the public safety sector.

C's Home & Office Management of Sag Harbor, NY, has gained third-year Accredited Member status in the NHWA!

C's Home & Office Management of Sag Harbor, NY, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the third consecutive year.   

President Cynthia Ward Capalbo started cleaning homes in her hometown of Sag Harbor in 1993 to bring in extra money while earning her Bachelors' Degree in Business Management. After graduating, she put her energy into growing her small cleaning business. In 2000, as her business was growing, she also gave birth to twins, Haley and Christopher. It was during this period of change, both personally and professionally, that she became interested in finding alternative ways to treat illnesses and disease. She went back to school, earning her Masters in Herbology. Through this endeavor, she thought it would be smart business and personally rewarding to incorporate her knowledge into her business by offering organic cleaning products and become a certified Green Cleaning Company.

During this period of growth, there was also personal turmoil as both Cindy and her husband, Chris, lost their mothers to lost their mothers to pancreatic cancer. Cindy witnessed first-hand how difficult it was for her mother to maintain her own house during chemo. As a way of giving back to the community and offering help to those with cancer, she partnered with Fighting Chance and Cleaning For a Reason to offer cancer patients free cleanings, in order to help them while they recover. C’s now offers one full year of cleaning to a cancer patient free of charge. She also joined a nationally recognized cleaning organization, ARCSI (Association of Residential Cleaning Services International), to further expand her business and remain on the cutting edge of cleaning technology and customer service.

Elite Home Watch Plus of SWFL, Inc., of Fort Myers, Florida, has gained Accredited Member status in the National Home Watch Association for the second consecutive year.

Owner Scott Van Vliet has over 30 years of extensive maintenance experience, including local hospitals and a retirement center. His positions ranged from Lead Technician to Director of Engineering at a continuing care retirement community. This experience gave him the skill sets and trained eye necessary to provide quality Home Watch services. Scott also is a certified air conditioning contractor (HVAC).

Owner Annette Van Vliet has extensive real estate experience ranging from office administration to Broker, which has given her the knowledge and experience needed to maintain a successful Home Watch business as well as to effectively communicate with clients to care for and oversee their investments.
