I am very pleased to announce the details for the 2013 NHWA National Conference. It is taking place October 24th - 26th in Myrtle Beach, SC. It is a perfect time to come to the beach, where temps will be in the 70s...both in and out of the water!

The conference will be attended by Accredited Members and companies being mentored through the "Start-up" guide. We will be discussing marketing, software apps, SEO/SEM, and practices and protocols. But most exciting will be the insurance topics. We at the NHWA are currently working on insurance products (general liability and health care) that will be made available to Accredited Members. Implications regarding homeowners insurance are also on the agenda. Perhaps the greatest thing that I foresee will be Home Watch companies from all over North America sharing their experiences with one another. Friends will be made and alliances will be formed.

If there was ever a great time to join the NHWA, it is right now. Strides are being made that will enable Members to increase their business, while decreasing operating expenses. Our membership is growing, as is our influence. Qualified leads flow through our website. More and more competitors are popping up in your area, and some may not even be insured or licensed. Home Watcher LV of Las Vegas Gains Accredited Member Status for the Second Consecutive Year!

When J.P. Lalonde of Home Watcher LV became an accredited member of the NHWA in 2012, he brought with him a different take on the Home Watch business. A native of Montreal, Canada, J.P. spent 30 years in the automotive manufacturing industry. J.P.'s career took him and his family from Canada to Michigan, Kentucky, and finally to Nevada. He retired early as Manufacturing Director, but not before gaining experience in everything from IT to environmental control and energy management. Soon after retiring, he moved his family to Las Vegas and quickly became involved in his homeowners association.
