C's Home & Office Management of Sag Harbor, Long Island, gains second-year accreditation!

Jack Luber
Executive Director

C's Home & Office Management of Sag Harbor, NY, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the second consecutive year. President Cynthia Ward Capalbo who resides in Sag Harbor, started cleaning homes in her hometown of Sag Harbor in 1993 to bring in extra money while earning her Bachelors' Degree in Business Management. After graduating, she decided to put her energy into growing her small cleaning business. In 2000, as her business was growing, she also gave birth to twins, Haley and Christopher. It was during this period of change, both personally and professionally, that she became interested in finding alternative ways to treat illnesses and disease. She decided to go back to school and earned her Masters in Herbology. Through this endeavor she thought it would be smart business and personally rewarding to incorporate her knowledge into her business by offering organic cleaning products and become a certified Green Cleaning Company.

During this period of growth, there was also personal turmoil as both Cindy and her husband Chris, lost their mothers to pancreatic cancer. Cindy witnessed first-hand how difficult it was for her mother to maintain her own house during chemo. As a way of giving back to the community and offering help to those with cancer, she partnered with Fighting Chance and Cleaning For A Reason to offer cancer patients free cleanings, to help them while they recover. C’s now offers one full year of cleaning to a cancer patient free of charge. She also decided to join a nationally recognized cleaning organization, ARCSI (Association of Residential Cleaning Services International), to further expand her business and remain on the cutting edge of cleaning technology and customer service. We, at the NHWA commend her for her dedication and resolve.

Cynthia Capalbo
C's serves Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Southampton, Noyac, Wainscott, Watermill, Bridgehampton and Sagaponack. Cindy can be reached at (631) 725-2408 or at cynthia@cshomemanagement.com. You can visit C's website at CsHomeManagement.com.

Congratulations, Cindy. As always, I wish you
Much success,
Jack

Castle Home Checks Inc. of Greensboro, GA, Joins the NHWA.

Jack Luber
Executive Director

Castle Home Checks Inc. of Greensboro, GA, has become an Accredited Member of the NHWA!
Sheila I.M. Smith, President, was born in Surrey, England, and has a career history spanning some 25+ years in the UK. She brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to Castle Home Checks Inc., from selling and leasing homes to refurbishing and inventory work. Most recently, Sheila has spent nine years as property manager in a prestigious, independent real estate agency based in Virginia Water, Surrey (which is home to the Wentworth Golf club). She managed upscale executive homes similar to those found in the Lake Oconee, FL, area. of Sheila’s landlords and tenants during this time were British and foreign royalty, celebrities and sports personalities, as well as presidents, CEOs, and executives of Fortune 500 companies, e.g., Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs, IBM, and UPS.

Sheila I.M. Smith

Sheila wants us to know that she has a clean UK police background check and has successfully obtained her Green Card! She has relocated to Reynolds Plantation with her husband, Wayne, who was born in Atlanta. Wayne has had an interesting and very full career in the military Special Forces and as a law enforcement officer (spanning 21 years). He also has experience in disaster management. Wayne is also working at Castle Home Checks.

Wayne Smith
Sheila and Wayne met in the UK when he was involved in troubleshooting within the disaster management service. He began in employment, and then successfully owned his own company, dealing not only with the aftermath of fires and floods, where rapid response was required on a 24/7 basis in order to limit potential damage, but he also carried out residential and commercial refurbishments. Wayne is also a volunteer with the Old Salem Fire Department and has just successfully completed his emergency medical response course.

Based on the conversations that we've had with Sheila, I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll be hearing big things about Castle Home Checks in the very near future. Come meet Sheila and Wayne at the National Conference in October. Good luck guys!

What happens in Vegas? Las Vegas Home Watchers...3rd year in a row!

Jack Luber
Executive Director

Greetings and salutations,

Dan and Ginni Kruger of Las Vegas Home Watchers have a simple philosophy:"Do the right thing, in the right way, at the right time, in the right place, to the right person, for the right reason, with the right feeling…THE FIRST TIME!" That's quite a mouthful, but after 5 years in business, it has proven to be a successful philosophy. Dan and Ginni service some very famous people, and their business continues to grow. Las Vegas Home Watchers has earned accreditation for the third consecutive year, and Dan serves on the NHWA Advisory Board. A Nebraska native and graduate of University of Nebraska, Dan the company's president, started out as a teacher, but joined the corporate world and stayed there for 34 years, holding executive positions in technology and healthcare. Ginni, who serves as treasurer, has been married to Dan for over 40 years. Together they've raised 3 children, and now have a grandchild.

Ginni & Dan Kruger
Dan is an avid Atlanta Braves fan. If there's no game on TV, you'll find him in front of a radio, listening to them. Ginni and Dan are also very active in community organizations.

On a personal note, I am very excited that Dan and Ginni are attending the National Conference in Myrtle Beach. They are always right there for me if I need something, and have been very helpful to our newer members.

Las Vegas Home Watchers serves the Las Vegas Valley in Clark County, including the areas of Summerlin, Aliante, Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, and Southern Highlands. They can be reached at (702) 493-2755, and you can visit their website at www.LasVegasHomeWatchers.com

Much success,

Jack

Greetings and salutations!

The First Annual NHWA National Conference is only three months from now. The Conference dates are October 24th-26th and it will take place in Myrtle Beach, SC. We have people coming in from all over the US and Canada. There is lots on the agenda, including the official launch of the NHWA's Home Watch general liability policy. We already have 5 policies in force, and other companies are in the application process. There will also be the rollout of a brand new Home Watch management application for smartphones. It is truly unique, and very affordable. Coastal Carolina Home Watch will be beta testing the system prior to the conference. We will have expert speakers from the Insurance, Real Estate, and SEO and Web Development industries. Even as a non-member, you can attend. Come learn, come meet other Home Watch professionals, and of course...have fun. Contact the NHWA office at (843) 357-6660 for reservations. C'mon down (or up)!

Much success,

Welcome back, Faith!

Jack Luber
Executive Director

Greetings and salutations,

I wanted to let everyone know that Faith Luber is back from her sabbatical. Faith had to take a break from her duties here back in December of 2012, to attend to another project. That is when I brought Stacey Bailey in to fill in for her. Stacey was doing a great job, but was offered a position in the medical field that she couldn't pass up. As sorry as I was to lose Stacey, Faith's schedule had just opened back up. So...welcome back, Faith!  And yes, Faith is my big sister. She has been instrumental in helping to grow the NHWA, being involved with it from 2010 through the end of 2012. She can be reached at faith@nationalhomewatchassociation.org or at (843) 357-6660.

Faith Luber
The first NHWA National Conference is only 4 months away. Please make your reservations before we run out of room. Make plans to come and learn...and play in Myrtle Beach.

Much success,

Jack
