C's Home & Office Management of Sag Harbor, NY, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the third consecutive year.   

President Cynthia Ward Capalbo started cleaning homes in her hometown of Sag Harbor in 1993 to bring in extra money while earning her Bachelors' Degree in Business Management. After graduating, she put her energy into growing her small cleaning business. In 2000, as her business was growing, she also gave birth to twins, Haley and Christopher. It was during this period of change, both personally and professionally, that she became interested in finding alternative ways to treat illnesses and disease. She went back to school, earning her Masters in Herbology. Through this endeavor, she thought it would be smart business and personally rewarding to incorporate her knowledge into her business by offering organic cleaning products and become a certified Green Cleaning Company.

During this period of growth, there was also personal turmoil as both Cindy and her husband, Chris, lost their mothers to lost their mothers to pancreatic cancer. Cindy witnessed first-hand how difficult it was for her mother to maintain her own house during chemo. As a way of giving back to the community and offering help to those with cancer, she partnered with Fighting Chance and Cleaning For a Reason to offer cancer patients free cleanings, in order to help them while they recover. C’s now offers one full year of cleaning to a cancer patient free of charge. She also joined a nationally recognized cleaning organization, ARCSI (Association of Residential Cleaning Services International), to further expand her business and remain on the cutting edge of cleaning technology and customer service.

Elite Home Watch Plus of SWFL, Inc., of Fort Myers, Florida, has gained Accredited Member status in the National Home Watch Association for the second consecutive year.

Owner Scott Van Vliet has over 30 years of extensive maintenance experience, including local hospitals and a retirement center. His positions ranged from Lead Technician to Director of Engineering at a continuing care retirement community. This experience gave him the skill sets and trained eye necessary to provide quality Home Watch services. Scott also is a certified air conditioning contractor (HVAC).

Owner Annette Van Vliet has extensive real estate experience ranging from office administration to Broker, which has given her the knowledge and experience needed to maintain a successful Home Watch business as well as to effectively communicate with clients to care for and oversee their investments.

Cape Associates, Inc., of North Eastham, MA, has gained third-year Accredited Member status in the NHWA!

Cape Associates, Inc., of North Eastham, MA, has gained Accredited Member status in the National Home Watch Association for the third consecutive year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (http://www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org).

Originally a custom builder on Cape Cod and Nantucket since the early 1970s, Cape Associates joined the NHWA after adding a Home Watch division in 2012.

Cinnamon Swable was hand-picked to run and facilitate the Home Watch division. A member of the Cape Associates team for the previous six years, Cinnamon had been in the landscape industry for over 18 years. During that time, she cultivated a specialty gardening company.

Cinnamon earned a degree in Construction Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology. She and her son love spending time at their home in Eastham.

Homewatch Concierge of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, gains third-year Accredited Member status!

HomewatchConcierge of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, has gained third-year Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Established in May 2012 by founding partner DJ Hill, Homewatch Concierge has experienced steady growth. The company recently announced that Tjark Bateman has joined as a principal and operating partner.

DJ has more than 20 years of experience focused in lodging, hospitality, and real estate development. He is also actively involved in a variety of civic and professional organizations. DJ is currently a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware and is engaged in the Rehoboth Beach Accommodations Task Force and Rehoboth Beach Main Street. He is the past Sussex County Chairman of the Delaware Hotel and Lodging Association and was a gubernatorial appointee to the Delmarva Advisory Council. A graduate of Penn State University, he resides in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and three children.

Tjark joined Homewatch Concierge in April of 2014, after 25 years of customer service experience, from working in his family business. He is also a founding board member of Community Bank Delaware. He supports local and national groups like Rehoboth Beach Historical Society & Museum, Rehoboth Beach Art League, Children's Beach House, Joseph Jeffery Stein III Foundation, Wings of Hope, and Jimmy V Foundation, to name a few. Tjark is a past member of the Rehoboth Beach Planning and Zoning Board and the Delaware Environmental Appeals Board. He is lives in Rehoboth Beach with his wife and daughter.

We had the pleasure of meeting DJ at our First Annual North American Conference in 2013, and we hope to see both DJ and Tjark at next year’s Conference.

Home Watch FL Keys, of Big Pine Key, FL, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Owner Anne Leonard and her husband, Bill, formed Home Watch FL Keys in 2013. Anne & Bill have lived and worked in the Florida Keys for over 40 years. They both have retired within the last three years: Anne, after 35 years at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and Bill, after a total of 37 years with the US Customs & Border Protection, Office of Air & Marine (Department

of Homeland Security), and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Anne and Bill are very excited to have started this business and look forward to it growing within the next year. They both saw the need to have this type of business, as the Florida Keys have an extremely high volume of seasonal home owners. Considering the Keys are 112 miles long, they decided to concentrate their business from Big Pine Key to Key West, including the City of Key West, which is a distance of approximately 30 miles. The Florida Keys are definitely unique, and with Anne and Bill's backgrounds they have the necessary ethics, integrity and credibility to manage your vacant home.
