Jan-Guard Hawaii, Inc., of Honolulu, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Owner Frank Commendador has had over 35 years of experience in the contract security, general maintenance and site management fields. Jan-Guard Hawaii is a fast-growing, locally owned and operated contract security company providing security patrol services as well as interim site management and maintenance. Since Home Watch services are a natural extension of their wide array of services, Frank has just begun offering them.

Jan-Guard Hawaii strives to ensure that their clients have peace of mind knowing they can depend on Jan-Guard Hawaii 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Home Watch Services of Naples, FL, gains accreditation in the NHWA!

Home Watch Services of Naples of Naples, Florida, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.  

Owner Richard (Rick) Dingfelder received a Bachelor’s degree in business from Monmouth College in West Long Branch, NJ. He’s been self-employed since 1982. He grew up in the Northeast and started his first business in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. After selling his business in 1992, he relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he became one of the top real estate agents in the RE/Max system. In 2004, he relocated to Naples with his family and is an active real estate agent. Rick saw a need for his clients and has now developed a Home Watch Services of Naples, where he has integrated his business knowledge in real estate with his high-tech knowledge. He utilizes specialty software to streamline his inspections, setting him apart from the competition.

Rick is very active in the community and volunteers on a regular basis.

Snowbird Services of Fort Wayne, IN, gains second-year Accredited Member status in the NHWA!

Greetings and salutations!

Snowbird Services of Fort Wayne, IN, has gained Accredited Member status for the second consecutive year. 

Owner Jason Rey began Snowbird Services in 2012. Jason saw the need for a Home Watch business when his in-laws began traveling to Florida to escape the snowy Indiana winters. He would frequently stop by to check the doors and windows, shovel snow, pick up leaflets and in once case, repair a faulty water heater that would have cost hundreds of dollars for them to fix while away from home. As a lifelong handyman and Jack-of-all-trades, Jason thought that others in the Fort Wayne area would appreciate knowing their home was being looked after by a trusted partner. Jason puts an emphasis on complete home care while owners are away—from filling the fridge for the owners' return, to repairing and remodeling.

Before starting Snowbird Services, Jason worked in the heavy construction equipment industry, focusing on customer service. As a husband, father of two, and lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, Jason offers peace of mind while families are away from home. In Jason's free time he enjoys attending his children's activities, yard work, and cheering on his Indianapolis Colts.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jason at our First Annual North American Conference in 2013. Unfortunately, he couldn't attend this year's Conference because he was busy making funnel cakes for the Johnny Appleseed Festival! Maybe we can convince him to drive the funnel cake cart to next year's Conference! (We'd love to see you either way, Jason.)

Home Watch Group of SWFL, Fort Myers, FL, gains fifth-year Accredited Member status!

Home Watch Group of SWFL of Fort Myers, FL, has attained Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the fifth consecutive year.

Owner Bob Myers formed the Home Watch Group of SWFL in Fort Myers, FL, in 2007 with his wife, Colleen. Bob hails from just outside of Reading, PA, and attended Temple University. Commuting between Pennsylvania and New York City while working in the garment industry, Bob and Colleen moved the family to Florida in 1988, where Bob worked in the swimming pool and construction industries. Recognizing the need for a Home Watch company in the area, they put their energy and resources into Home Watch Group of SWFL. 

Bob has been with us since the inception of the NHWA. He served on our Advisory Board during our first year and is back on board with us again.

Bob is a boater and fisherman with a minor in golf. Bob and Colleen have five children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
