Home Watch of Arizona, of Scottsdale, has joined the NHWA!

Jack Luber, Executive Director

Greetings and salutations!

Home Watch of Arizona, of Scottsdale, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Co-owner John Hay graduated from Arizona State University, with a business degree and a minor in real estate. He has spent the better part of his career in the real estate industry. John has worked not only in sales, but also as a homebuilder, apartment owner, and real estate tax consultant.

Debbie, John’s wife and business partner, graduated from ASU with a nursing degree and has spent her career working for Scottsdale Healthcare in many different roles. She is working with John on a part-time basis.

Many of John’s real estate clients over the years have been seasonal homeowners. Realtors in general are the “go-to” person for their clients after a purchase, and this is even truer when the buyers are seasonal. Seeing the need for a trustworthy service, Home Watch of Arizona became a natural way to serve clients better and to build a business for Hay family’s future.

Growing up in Scottsdale, John has had the pleasure of watching the entire Phoenix metro area grow, and this has given him a deep understanding of not only the real estate industry in Arizona, but also the coming and going of the seasonal homeowners. Being an owner of a seasonal home in Canada, John knows firsthand how it feels to be in need of someone to trust to watch over a seasonal home.

Debbie and John look forward to many years serving seasonal homeowners in Arizona!

We had the pleasure of meeting John at the NHWA’s Second Annual North American Conference in September of 2014. We’re looking forward to seeing him again—and meeting Debbie—in September at our Third Annual North American Conference.

Homewatch Services Etc. of Bonita Springs, FL, gains third-year Accredited Member status!

Jack Luber, Executive Director

Greetings and salutations!

Homewatch Services Etc. of Bonita Springs, Florida, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the third consecutive year.

Originally from the Midwest, President Carl Lorenzini moved to Bonita Springs in 2001 and has been involved in property management for the past 13 years.  He understands the importance of maintaining vacant properties, along with the level of trust and responsibility involved when choosing to hire on a Home Watch professional. That is why maintaining a high level of service is crucial to him.

Homewatch Services, Etc. has been family owned and operated since 2002. They feel that means you get the genuine care that only a family can provide.  That’s why Carl’s sister, Karinna, assists with the homewatch inspections and Carl entrusts his father, Edward, as an emergency contact for the business.

Suncoast Home Concierge Services, of Sarasota, Florida, joins the NHWA!

Jack Luber, Executive Director

Greetings and salutations!

Suncoast Home Concierge Services, LLC, of Sarasota, FL, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

In 2011, President Joel Pye relocated from Toronto, Canada, to Sarasota, Florida. He had visited Sarasota every year for 25 years, and he always felt it was his home away from home. He knew that eventually he would live there. He formed Suncoast Home Concierge Services in 2012, with the intention of assisting seasonal residents with their Sarasota area second homes. Having previously owned a second home in Sarasota, he was familiar with the challenges that long-distance home ownership presented. Many permanent residents also call on Joel to assist with projects around their homes.

As a former Vice President of Operations and Logistics with a multinational company for 22 years, his problem-solving and relationship-building skills fit in beautifully with his new company.

One of Joel’s many hobbies is gardening; since 2012, he has volunteered in the horticulture department at the prestigious Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota. He has learned a great deal through his experiences there and loves passing that information on to his clients.

Joel Pye

Suncoast Home Concierge Services serves Sarasota, Siesta Key, Casey Key, Osprey, Nokomis, and Venice. You can reach Joel at (941) 961-4309 or SuncoastHomeConcierge@gmail.com. Or you can visit his website at www.SuncoastHomeConcierge.com.

Welcome, Joel!

As always, I wish you

Much success,

Alabama's in the House!

Jack Luber, Executive Director

Greetings and salutations!

Gulf Coast Keyholders of Gulf Shores, Alabama, has gained Accredited Member status in the NHWA.

Founder and owner Martha Kilborn Howard is a 25-year permanent resident of Gulf Shores and lifelong South Alabama native. Martha retired after nearly 30 years of service as a nationally recognized educator in Alabama’s public schools. She is committed to public service, involved in the life of the community and continually concerned with the safety and success of the area she calls home.

Martha and her family have held keys to neighboring houses for many years, watching the homes, answering security alarms, and reporting property conditions to owners. During this time, Martha and her husband, Wayne, acquired and renovated several older Gulf Shores homes. After retirement in 2006, Martha began managing her own vacation properties and recognized that other second home owners needed a local advocate watching their properties while they were away.

As Gulf Coast Keyholders, she and co-owner Walter C. Brewer believe in higher standards, expanded, flexible work hours, and the ability to respond quickly, personally and efficiently to clients’ needs. Walt brings to the business a background in both the boating industry and home and ground maintenance. He became interested in Home Watch after his in-law’s summer home’s new roof leaked, unnoticed, for months. They lost an entire season to mold remediation and renovation. Now working together, Martha and Walt serve coastal Alabama, providing Home Watch and related services to absentee owners and seasonal residents who don’t want to leave their homes alone.

In the Central Alabama Lake Area, Walt’s father, Richard W. Brewer, manages GCK’s Home Watch services. A 1969 University of Alabama graduate, Rick played football under the late Coach Bear Bryant and proudly wears a 1965 National Championship ring. Rick comes to Gulf Coast Keyholders with more than 20 years of experience in home inspection.

We had the pleasure of meeting all three Gulf Coast Keyholders at our Second Annual North American Conference in September.
