Greetings and salutations all!
I'd like to update everyone on the NHWA Home Watch general liability policy. To date, we have helped 10 companies get started with the correct insurance. The thing that pleases me the most, is that the process is seamless: no more jumping through hoops or contacting multiple insurance companies only to be turned away because of their ignorance. Just last week, I was contacted by someone that had tried to get coverage from over 20 companies to no avail.
This policy has coverage for Home Watch and peripheral services such as basic handyman, cleaning and concierge services. I urge everyone in the Home Watch business to check and see what their policy actually covers them for. Up until now, Home watch companies have been shoved into whatever category the insurance company's underwriter thought made sense at the time.
Now that there is a legitimate alternative to what you have now, you really need to get on board. Contact the National Home Watch Association for more information.
Keep an eye out for new blogs announcing new members in new states, and the re-accreditation of current members. Until then, I wish you all
Much success!
Jack Luber
